Catrin Shi

Catrin Shi is Insurance Insider’s Managing Editor and co-founder of the publication’s diversity and inclusion campaign, Insider Progress.

A graduate in German and an alumnus of the Cardiff University School of Journalism, Catrin has been working as a journalist for just under a decade, the last seven years of which have been focused on the (re)insurance industry. Her specialisms include Lloyd’s, property, cyber, MGAs and legacy.

Since joining The Insurance Insider five years ago she has picked up a number of trade journalism awards for her work, including Breaking News Journalist of the Year at the 2019 Willis Towers Watson Media Awards.
